Words from the CTO |

The Future of Data
Bernardo Castilho, Chief Technology
Officer
It was about 45 years ago when a song titled "In the Year 2525" by Zager and Evans was very popular, some of you may recall it. I recently heard this song and, as it always does, it makes you think about the universe, but this time it also made me reflect on what all has changed since the first time I heard this song all those years ago. Back then I didn’t quite grasp the concept of data and the importance it would play in my future.
Whether we are conscious of it or not we are always using data to make decisions. It was when I started developing FlexGrid that I realized there was a need -- and a future evolving need -- to improve how we developers can connect to, manage, and display data more efficiently. While we are still many years away from 2525, we continue to bring development ideas and needs forward quickly as evident in
our Studio Enterprise 2014 v2 release.
